A person’s world-view is usually the sum of their basic understanding about life and how they see reality. It becomes their core belief. How they look at their world-view becomes the center of their life. All of us find our place within that world-view and our responsibilities to it. Our values, the actions we perform, and decisions we make are based on our world-view. If we don’t believe that there is a God, then our world-view will have no consideration of an afterlife and of our responsibility to prepare for it. Therefore, our morals, ethics of life, and belief system would not matter for all of eternity because responsibility to them ends at death. There would be no afterlife accountability, so we could easily give way to situational ethics that pleases our senses here and now. Without God, moral absolutes would not be a part of our belief system so therefore we can do as we please. The Bible predicted that there would be people living like that as time for this world draws to a close.
If you are an atheist then you really have a problem. Not only will you have to stand at the end of time before a God you don’t believe in, but you also have to constantly deal with the idea of God while you’re living on earth. The atheist’s biggest problem this side of eternity is that he can never stop thinking about God because he has to continually state his atheistic position in a world that is affected in its entirety, by God. He constantly has to defend the fact that he doesn’t believe in a God or an afterlife. He is consumed with arguments and dialogue about a God that he says does not exist. Atheists spend just as much time and energy thinking about God as believers do. Their stand against God is the biggest endorsement that there is for a belief in God. Having to make a God that they do not believe in such an overwhelming part of the structure of atheism, is what makes atheism a religion. God’s word makes it clear concerning the person who is an atheist.
Psalm 14:1 and Psalm 53:1 says, “The fool has said in his heart, there is no God.”
Remember, Jesus is coming soon!
